Volunteers are the lifeline of our ministry. There are many areas where you can use your God-given talents to serve at the PRC. Below is a list of the span of volunteer opportunities we offer, ranging from direct contact with clients to serving behind-the-scenes.
Center Peer Counselors – Trained volunteers who minister to female clients during their initial visit.
Receptionists – Trained volunteers who answer the center’s phone, respond to questions of prospective clients, and make appointments for them to come to the center.
HelpLine Peer-Counselors – Trained volunteers who minister to prospective clients from their own homes through our 24-hour HelpLine.
Liasons* – Advocates for the PRC within their own churches. These volunteers present the PRC as local mission opportunity, keep their church community informed of ways to partner with the PRC, and encourage their church family to become involved.
Male Counselors - Trained male volunteers who minister to and mentor male clients who are involved in an unplanned or unwanted pregnancy.
Event Volunteers* – Assist with the PRC fund-raising events, such as the Walk for Life during the spring or our annual fall banquet.
PERC** Class Leaders – Trained Volunteers who lead parenting classes, Mom’s Support Groups, Bible studies, or life skills training.
PERC** Mentors – Trained Volunteers who minister to clients who have decided to parent, assisting them with spiritual, practical, and material needs.
